There’s no surprise that the South Pacific is an expensive place to vacation but instead of resorts, try a boutique hotel or an Airbnb. We stayed at the Hotel Royal Bora Bora for 3 nights during Covid in October 2020. The hotel was clean and masks were worn by all staff and required in common areas of the hotel. Hotel Royal Bora Bora is a great value for Bora Bora, trust me.

HOTEL ROYAL BORA BORA features a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar, and a garden in Bora Bora. Each room at the hotel has beautiful garden views, and guests can enjoy access to a terrace.
Guests at the accommodations will be able to enjoy activities in and around Bora Bora, like snorkeling and canoeing. They even welcome you with fresh mango juice, it doesn’t get better than that. The price based on November 2020 is about $200-300 per night.

Another budget friendly option is using Airbnb! Here is Sallytrubella’s top Airbnb picks for Bora Bora:
www.airbnb.com/rooms/16003270 – $71 Per Night
www.airbnb.com/rooms/41719614 – $71 Per Night
www.airbnb.com/rooms/42512475 $124 Per Night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/41985982 – $309 Per Night – If you want to splurge a little.
Lastly, if you want to travel on a super-tight budget, then the best route to go down is using Couchsurfing! I didn’t try it out but took a quick look and there are about over 20 hosts that are on there.
